Central Texas high schools rank nationally

Three Round Rock Independent School District schools rank among the best in America. That's according to Newsweek's annual list of top high schools in the nation.Westwood placed in the top 100 with a ranking of 77. Round Rock High School ranked at 800 and McNeil ranked at 662. Westlake High School, however, topped the list for Central Texas high schools at number 52. The rankings are based on the total number of Advanced Placement courses. They're also based on International Baccalaureate and/or Cambridge tests that were given at a school. Then, those tests are divided by the number of seniors graduating.
